The Xiaomi 18 Fold, the company's first "mid-size" foldable smartphone, was launched with a 7.68-inch foldable display and a 5.38-inch outer display, both in an A4 aspect ratio. At 219g, it is the lightest foldable Xiaomi has ever made. The front display features an asymmetric notepad design with curved right corners and square hinge-edge corners.
Both screens use Xiaomi’s HyperRGB panel with 4,000 nits peak brightness and support 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rates. The device features a new-generation Xiaomi proprietary hinge with a three-link design, a robust aluminum alloy frame, and Shield Glass 3.0 protection. It also includes a substantial silicon-carbon battery with the largest capacity for a foldable form factor, supporting up to 67W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi’s XRING 03 chip, built on a 3nm process, combines a 10-core CPU and 16-core GPU, offering 45% faster NPU performance than previous flagship chips. The device includes a Leica triple-camera system with a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP Leica periscope telephoto camera, and lacks an IP rating. Xiaomi is also teasing a special silicon nitride ceramic edition that is lighter and more scratch-resistant.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold will launch in red, black, and white, starting at 10,999 yuan (~$1,640) in China.
